Song lyrics:

This is the a-ö [a-z] of Iceland, so try to sing along.
This is the a-ö [a-z] of Iceland, what could possibly go wrong?

I start my day with coffee or kaffi [coffee] is what we say I pour a little mjólk [milk] in and feed my horse some hey [hay] I look out the window to see if there is sól [sun]. I eat my morgunmatur [breakfast] and sit down in my stól [chair]. This eyja [island] is kind of awesome no matter what you see, There’s hverir [hot springs], list [art], and jöklar [glaciers] And vinir [friends] you can meet. Skál! [cheers!] So pack your töskur [bags] Iceland has it all. From austur [East] to vestur [West] Just don’t look for elves. You don’t even exist! This is the a-ö [a-z] of Iceland, so try to sing along.

This is the a-ö [a-z] of Iceland, what could possibly go wrong? Our sundlaugar [swimming pools] are cosy. Afklæðast [undress] all the way. But don’t forget sundskýla [swimming shorts] Before you go and play. You might see a torfbær [turf house] Or hike in the þjóðgarð [national park] And you must say hi to Villi Because that is my dad! Pabbi! [Dad!] And you can rent a bílaleigubíll [rental car] Enjoy the drive on hringvegurinn [the ring road] Be mindful of malarvegir [gravel roads] And don’t traðka [tread] on the moss - It grows back so slow! Like seventy years!

This is the a-ö [a-z] of Iceland, so try to sing along. This is the a-ö [a-z] of Iceland, what could possibly go wrong? Since the upphaf alda [beginning of time] The sheep has been around. Vinaleg [friendly] and gracious, Every man’s best friend. We cuddle them and klappa [pat them] And then take all their ull [wool]. We wear them like the kappar [champions] And they’ve always kept us… Full!

This is the a-ö [a-z] of Iceland, so try to sing along. This is the a-ö [a-z] of Iceland, what could possibly go wrong? This is the a-ö [a-z] of Ísland [Iceland] So reyndu að syngja með [try to sing along] This is the a-ö [a-z] of Ísland [Iceland] Now memorise this lag [song] You just sang the hardest karaoke song in the world, you speak Icelandic.

You can even say Plokkfiskur [Icelandic mashed haddock and potatoes] You’re almost an Icelander, almost, seriously it’s a lot of paperwork. Just come and visit!

Traveling Iran by train | DW Documentary
Traveling Iran by train | DW Documentary Deen Doughouz 593 विचारों • 9 वर्षों पहले

Iran is opening its doors to foreigners and a train ride from the Persian Gulf to the Caspian Sea is a great way to get to know the country and its people.

The travel restrictions that are now being lifted were in place for decades. Many Iranians are hoping they will now be able to lead a freer life – and we meet many of these hospitable and welcoming people on our journey through the Middle Eastern nation.

The country’s most important rail link, the Trans-Iranian Railway, runs for approximately 1400 kilometers from the Persian Gulf via Teheran to the Caspian Sea. The journey starts in Khorramshahr on the Shatt al-Arab, the river border between Iraq and Iran.

Traveling past oil fields, the train reaches Shushtar. One of the top sights here is the historic hydraulic system, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After that, the train heads up into the Zagros Mountains. The journey is interrupted by a break for prayer. Breath-taking landscapes move past the train window until we reach the highest point not only of our journey but of the entire rail network: 2,200 meters above sea level between Dorud and Arak.

During a brief stop in Qom, travelers can refuel with sohan, a pastry made of wheat germ, flour and sugar. The next section of the track is high-speed and we continue on to Teheran at 160 km/h. The metropolitan area is home to more than 15 million people. The last leg takes us to the north of the country.

In the Alborz Mountains, we find out what role the Trans-Iranian Railway played during Stalin’s major offensive against the German army in World War II. Our oriental rail adventure ends in Bandar-e Torkaman on the Caspian Sea.

Things everyone does on snapchat they don't want to admit!
First, everyone uses filters when they aren't looking their best. Whether you just woke up or are having a bad hair day, snapchat filters will cover it all! Next, we've all looked into getting surgery to look like that snapchat dog right...? oh just me? Just kidding, I really hope no one has done that. Third, we've all redone a "candid looking" snapchat because we didn't like the angle, how our hair looked, etc.

AMAZING Animal Superpowers!
AMAZING Animal Superpowers! Deen Doughouz 588 विचारों • 9 वर्षों पहले

Check out these amazing animal superpowers! You won't believe what these animals are capable of!

9. Hairy Frog
This frog breaks its own bones to grow claws. Also known as the “Horror Frog” or the “Wolverine Frog," (with good reason), it is located in central Africa. Its name comes from the hair that grows on its sides. It's actually not really hair but thin skin-like structures that protrude from its body that looks like hair.
But what makes this frog so amazing isn’t its hair. It’s its claws. It's claws are made of bone that it can project through its skin by breaking its toe bones. When the frogs feels threatened or under attack the frog will push these broken bones out of its feet to produce claws.
As the bone pushes outward, a bone nodule closer to the outside of the foot adds a sharp point to the frogs’ bones making them look and act just like claws. And unlike all other animals with claws, the “Wolverine Frog’s” claws are not covered in a protective coating of keratin. These frogs are attacking with their actual bones. A frog with similar superpowers was also discovered recently in Japan. Known as the Otton frog, it also conceals a retractable spike for fighting.
Scientist aren’t certain if the bones ever retract after they have broken through the skin but considering the “Wolverine” frog’s amazing ability, it's likely that over time the bones recess back into the foot, until they are needed again.
8. The Mantis Shrimp
It might be tiny, but this little shrimp packs a massive punch. Even though they are only 4 inches long, they are one of the strongest animals in the world. The Mantis shrimp have clubs they use to punch and destroy their prey.
The shrimp has developed a complex muscular structure that actually winds up the shrimp’s punching arm like a spring. When the shrimp is ready to attack, it releases the spring-loaded club with the force of a shot. The punch accelerates over 50 mph with a force of over 330 pounds. That's up to 2500 times the shrimp's own weight. Scientists have to keep these shrimp in thick plastic tanks because their punch can easily smash glass.
If a person could hit that hard, they could break steel. Besides the actual clubs, the force and speed the shrimp uses to attack creates bubbles that are so strong that they act like a shockwave, stunning the prey first then knocking it down. In essence, a Mantis shrimp punch acts and feels like multiple hits, even though it’s just one stroke.
In order to punch that hard without breaking their clubs, mantis shrimp have a special shock absorbent core called a bouligand structure. This keeps small cracks from breaking completely and researchers are trying to imitate this structure to design thin, light materials.
7. The Immortal Jellyfish
Known as the Benjamin Button of the sea, these tiny jellyfish transform from an adult back into a baby and they can do it over and over again. They are barely visible to the human eye, with an adult jelly reaching an average of 4.5mm, about the size of your pinky nail (0.18 inches). What makes this animal so amazing, is the fact that it can live forever.
They can live and die per usual but if they sense some kind of crisis like starvation or physical injury, the immortal jellyfish can transform all of its existing cells into a younger state.
The jellyfish turns itself into a blob, then a polyp colony which is the first stage of jellyfish life. This colony can spawn hundreds of genetically identical jellyfish.
Because of their ability to change their cellular structure, scientists have been studying the tiny jellyfish in hopes of helping people who suffer from cellular disease. This continual cycle of regeneration or self-cloning is what makes the jellyfish, in essence, the only known animal known to live forever.
