Gangnam Zombie (2023) is a South Korean action-horror film that plunges into the heart of Seoul's upscale Gangnam district, which becomes ground zero for a terrifying viral outbreak. Citizens begin exhibiting unusual symptoms, devolving into inhuman creatures that wreak havoc across the city. Amidst the chaos, Hyeon-seok (Ji Il-joo), a former taekwondo champion turned office worker, and his colleague Min-jeong (Park Ji-yeon) find themselves trapped inside their office building as the infection spreads rapidly.

As they navigate the treacherous corridors filled with zombified former colleagues, Hyeon-seok and Min-jeong must rely on their wits, courage, and martial arts skills to survive. The film combines intense action sequences with moments of suspense, highlighting the duo's desperate struggle to escape the nightmare that Gangnam has become.

Directed by Lee Soo-sung, Gangnam Zombie offers a fresh take on the zombie genre, blending traditional horror elements with the dynamic backdrop of modern Seoul. The film also features Jo Kyung-hoon as Wang-i, the initial carrier of the virus whose transformation sets off the catastrophic events.
