The Price Is Right with Bob Barker: The Very First Show (09/04/1972)

A day like today, 45 years ago, September 4th, 1972, The Price is Right debuted on CBS as the current run, the revival version of the 1956 version hosted by Bill Cullen. The current run version hosted by television's legendary icon and one of my lifelong idols, Bob Barker for 35 years, until 2007, when Drew Carey took over.
It quickly became one of the longest-running continuously running network shows in television history!! I watched that game for 24 years (from 1993 to the present) ever since I was a kid, and I still watch it today!!! Congratulations, The Price Is Right!!! Daytime television wouldn't be the same without you. Come on down!!!!
