ঢাকা থেকে সড়কপথে কুয়াকাটা পর্যন্ত এক সময়ে ১৪টি ফেরি ছিল। যেগুলো পারাপারে সীমাহীন দুর্ভোগ পোহাতে হতো। পদ্মা সেতু চালুর মধ্য দিয়ে আগামী মাসেই এই পথের সেই ফেরি যুগের অবসান ঘটবে। এর ফলে দক্ষিণাঞ্চলের বড় মেগা প্রকল্পগুলোর জাতীয় অর্থনীতিতে ভুমিকা রাখতে সহজ হবে।

At one time there were 14 ferries from Dhaka to Kuakata by road. Which had to bear endless misery at the crossing. With the launch of the Padma Bridge, the ferry era on this route will come to an end next month. This will make it easier for big mega projects in the south to play a role in the national economy.
