A bored little boy thinks everything is a waste of time until he drives his toy car down a mysterious turnpike and though The Phantom Tollbooth. His customary attitude lands him in the Doldrums, but he is rescued by a magical dog. Together the pair embark on a journey through the Kingdom of Wisdom, where a war rages between the letters and the numbers and he must rescue twin princess Rhyme and Reason from a castle suspended in mid-air high above the Kingdom.
