Anil Kumble was the pick of the Indian bowlers, claiming a remarkable 6-wicket haul. Pakistan was eventually bowled out for 245 runs, giving India a comprehensive victory by 131 runs.

This Test match will be remembered for Rahul Dravid's outstanding performance with the bat, as he played a crucial role in India's triumph. It was also a significant win for the Indian cricket team, as they clinched the three-match Test series 2-1, with this victory in Rawalpindi being the decisive match.
