Newly-single mom Alana (Alana Elmer) and her 14-month-old son Bowen (Bowen Harding) are alone in the off-season on an island cottage, with only a strange old neighbour (Peter Higginson) for company.<br />
A choreographer looking to get back into the dance world, Alana uses her time of solitude to practice her moves and prepare for a new adventure involving an experimental dance company. Then on a walk in the woods with Bowen, they discover the decomposing remains of what is dubiously identified as a bat. It is not a bat.<br />

The King's Academy, a National Blue Ribbon, Christian school in South Florida, recently presented "Disney's Beauty and the Beast" on its main stage in the new Page Family Center for Performing Arts. Starring TKA senior Gracie O'Connor (Belle), senior Casey Gustafson (Beast), junior Chris Pappas (Lumiere), senior Graham Popadic (Cogsworth), senior Kate Higgins (Mrs. Potts), and senior Sam Cornelius (Gaston), this performance showcased TKA’s fine young talent.
TKA’s Conservatory of the Arts, a two-time American High School Theatre Festival award-winning fine arts program, is led by Mr. David Snyder (Artistic Director, Musical Theater, Department Chair), Mrs. Sonia Santiago (Vocal Arts), Mrs. Cathy Higgins (Dance- Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz), Miss Riselle Portuondo (Dance- Ballet and Modern), Miss Sarah Fahey (Theatre Arts), Mr. Brad Majzner (Stagecraft), Mr. David Skinner (Instrumental Director), Mr. Wes Lowe (Assistant Band Director), Mr. Patrick Clifford (Strings), Mrs. Macey Norton (Video/Digital Arts), Mrs. Laura McFaden (Visual Art), Miss Stephanie Revell (Elementary Choir, Woodwinds), and Mrs. Robin Phillips (Piano).
