Der Schweizer Historiker und Friedensforscher Dr. Daniele Ganser sprach am 1. April 2019 in Nürnberg über den gescheiterten Putsch der USA in Venezuela im Frühjahr 2019, den er als illegal einstuft.

Dabei stützt sich Ganser auf das UNO-Gewaltverbot, das klar und deutlich den Einsatz von Gewalt untersagt und daher auch Staatsstreiche verbietet.

Ganser zeigt in seinem Vortrag, dass Venezuela seit 2013 durch den vom Volk gewählten linksnationalistischen Präsidenten Nicolas Maduro regiert wird.

Venezuela verfügt nach Angaben seines Ölministeriums mit 296 Milliarden Fass über die grössten Ölreserven auf der Welt, die Vorräte seien noch grösser als jene von Saudi-Arabien, behauptet Venezuela.

Juan Guaido, Oppositionsführer und Präsident des Parlaments, erklärte sich am 23. Januar 2019 selber zum neuen Präsidenten von Venezuela. US-Präsident Trump erklärte am selben Tag, er anerkenne Guaido als Übergangspräsident. Die USA hofften, dadurch Präsident Maduro stürzen zu können. Doch dies gelang nicht.

Mit Wirtschaftssanktionen, vergleichbar der Belagerungen von Städten im Mittelalter, haben die USA versucht, Venezuela in die Knie zu zwingen. In Caracas, der Hauptstadt von Venezuela, fiel am 7. März 2019 während Stunden der Strom aus.

«Keine Nahrung, keine Medikamente. Jetzt kein Strom. Bald kein Maduro mehr», twitterte US-Aussenminister Mike Pompeo während dem Stromausfall und wollte so den Druck auf Venezuela erhöhen.

«Die USA sollten Venezuela in Ruhe lassen. Lasst die Menschen in Venezuela selber über ihre Zukunft entscheiden», erklärte die US-Parlamentarierin Tulsi Gabbard aus Hawaii. «Wir wollen auch nicht, dass andere Länder unsere Anführer wählen, also müssen wir damit aufhören, dies in anderen Ländern zu tun.»

Unter dem Druck der USA hat in Deutschland Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel den Putschisten Guaido am 4. Februar 2019 als Übergangspräsidenten anerkannt. Das war falsch.

Der Wissenschaftliche Dienst des Bundestages in Berlin erinnert daran, dass nur die Bürger in Venezuela entscheiden dürfen, wer ihr Präsident ist: «Die Wahl oder Ernennung des Staatsoberhauptes liegt nach wie vor in der ausschließlichen Verantwortung innerstaatlicher Akteure».

Daniele Ganser rief in seinem Schlusswort dazu auf, dass das UNO-Gewaltverbot geachtet und Konflikte ohne Gewalt gelöst werden sollten.

"VICTORIA'S SECRET" Fashion Show Highlights November 2012


The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is one of those shows that really likes to one up itself. And each time it sets the bar pretty high. Last year, Jay Z, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj and Maroon 5 performed alongside VS Angels like Miranda Kerr, Karlie Kloss and Erin Heatherton. So where do you go from there? Hire Rihanna and Justin Bieber, obviously. And Bruno Mars for good measure. The show ran through different themed vignettes (including months of the year, the circus, pinball), but it was most refreshing to see new girls like Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn make their debut. And of course, veterans like Miranda Kerr, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio attracted serious applause and screams from the crowd.
