Pero dos expertos en el campo han denunciado la idea de que esta figura principal representa a Dios.
Yahvé es el Dios de Israel sin embargo, de acuerdo con la Biblia hebrea, a los antiguos israelíes se les prohibió crear representaciones de Yahweh, ya que uno de los 10 mandamientos declara que
"No te harás imagen, ni ninguna semejanza de lo que esté arriba en el cielo, ni abajo en la tierra, ni en las aguas debajo de la tierra " (Éxodo 20-4)
Los arqueólogos descubrieron la cabeza de 2 pulgadas de alto en las ruinas de un gran edificio que pudo haber sido un palacio en el sitio de Khìrbet Qeiyafa en Israel.
Aunque no se han encontrado otras figuras similares en Khirbet Qeiyafa, se han encontrado otras similares, con una figura que posiblemente sea Yahweh montando un caballo, que datan de hace casi 3.000 años en un templo y tumbas funerarias en Israel.
