Huawei Nova 5T | Unboxing & Tour
Unboxing the Huawei Nova 5T, with full hands-on review of the camera tech, performance, EMUI software and other specs. This is one of the best value Huawei handsets of 2020 so far, offering similar hardware to the P30 for a mid-range UK asking price (£350). Here's everything you need to know about the Nova 5T ahead of my full review.
First up, the 6.26-inch IPS screen sports a crisp FHD+ resolution and serves up sharp, attractive visuals, while the Kirin 980 platform is backed by 6GB RAM. That means a speedy everyday experience and no worries with games like PubG Mobile. GPU Turbo further boosts the gaming chops, for supported titles.
The Nova 5T may still be on Android 9, but here's hoping for an update to EMUI 10 and the latest Google OS soon. You get full Google services including Play store access.
A 3750mAh battery can be half charged in 30 minutes, while also offering a full day of use away from the plug.
As for the camera, this Huawei blower serves up a 48MP f/1.8 primary lens, backed by a 16MP UWA lens, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. So here's hoping the Nova 5T can take great photos and video. My full review will confirm that, along with the performance, battery life and any odd quirks you should know of.
