Nier: Automata (Japanese: ニーア オートマタ? Hepburn: Nīa Ōtomata, stylized as NieR:Automata) is an action role-playing video game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows. The game was released in Japan in February 2017, and worldwide the following month. Nier: Automata is a sequel to the 2010 video game Nier, a spin-off of the Drakengard series. Set in the midst of a proxy war between machines created by otherworldly invaders and the remnants of humanity, the story follows the battles of a combat android, her companion, and a fugitive prototype. Gameplay combines role-playing elements with action-based combat and mixed genre gameplay similar to that of Nier.

Nier: Automata opens with 2B and 9S opening the way for a future incursion into machine territory, working to clear out machine threats for the local Resistance. With help from Anemone and later Pascal, 2B and 9S defeat multiple machine threats. During their missions, they witness the birth of and later fight Adam and Eve, physical manifestations of the machine network who reveal that their creators were destroyed centuries ago. 2B and 9S also encounter A2, who is on the run from YoRHa. It is revealed that the machines are beginning to feel emotions and gather in groups, and some like Pascal's group have grown tired of fighting. 9S is eventually captured by Adam, who is killed by 2B. Deprived of his brother, Eve goes mad with grief and drives the machines under his command into a frenzy. 2B and 9S kill Eve, but 9S is infected with the machine's logic virus, forcing 2B to kill him. Despite his body dying, 9S's personality is saved in the local machine network, allowing his transfer into a new body. The second playthrough follows the opening narrative from the perspective of 9S, offering new insight into the machines and Adam and Eve. 9S also learns that humanity has been extinct since the events of Nier aside from a server on the moon holding humanity's DNA and history. YoRHa and its mission were created to keep the androids from losing morale. He also encounters a glitch when performing a standard server sync, and halts the procedure for both himself and 2B.

He and 200 other people all gathered to physically lift by hand the brand new 75' sailing catamaran 'Ppalu' into the water from the beach where she was built in St Martin, Caribbean. She immediately became the fastest and most well known sailing yacht in the world, and also the biggest sailing catamaran at the time.

Able to achieve speeds in excess of 25knots, Ppalu's pedigree was true from the start, and she turned heads everywhere she went and bore the covers of many a magazine.

Tragically she had been very much neglected in her life as a day-charter boat in the British Virgin Islands over the past 20+ years, and was in dire need of tender love and care when Randy assumed command. He initiated "Project Ppalu" and immediately set to work on rebuilding her piece by piece over the course of the entire year. All the efforts were rewarded when she was finally re-launched in December 2013 and he and Joanne started out on their voyage of a lifetime.

Unfortunately, 3 months into their sailing, tragedy struck and 'Ppalu' was holed on a reef in St Martin and promptly sank. The video outlines the subsequent salvage operation and shows clearly what is now needed to re-restore this classic sailing vessel and let her heritage live on for future generations to see.

Montage techniques are certain rules and way to arrange your video clips or where to cut. In this video tutorial you'll learn 5 popular montage techniques.

A good video editor is like a ninja; if his work cannot be seen, he did a good job!

Since the invention of moving pictures, film makers where looking for ways to make their videos more interesting by combining different shots together. Over the years dozens of such montage techniques are founded. They also refer to the psychology of video editing.

A good video edit is fluent, dynamic, it can create tension or surprise the viewer. In the video tutorial we'll have a look at five common montage techniques.

The first one is called cutting into the action. We cut from one camera angle to another and make sure there's movement between it. This makes the viewer focus on the movement and not on the cut.

In the second montage technique we make a resemblance between two different scenes. The way a second scene starts could tell an underlying story to its previous scene. In our example we make a resemblance between a battlefield and cutting an apple in a kitchen.

The next technique is more of something to be aware of. Building up tension or an awkward feeling with the viewer can be created by holding a clip longer than normal. We often tend to cut away to fast. It's simple as that!

For the fourth technique we'll have a look at insert and cut away shots. These are usually close-ups that we can insert in an action of a long shot. We also advice to always shoot enough inserts as it could help with stretching or cropping the length of your video.

The L-cut is the last montage technique. Here we guide the viewer gently to the next scene by overlapping the audio. You want to introduce the sound of the second scene already in your first scene. The viewer expects a new scene to happen and will not get surprised.
