Dating back to 1910, this historic landmark serves as a literal bridge between two states, marking the unique boundary where Bristol, Virginia, and Bristol, Tennessee, meet.
Originally erected atop a local building with the energetic slogan "PUSH! – THAT'S BRISTOL," the sign was moved to its current location in 1915. By 1921, following a community contest, it adopted the timeless invitation it carries today: "A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE." Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1988, the sign—illuminated by over 1,300 bulbs—remains a glowing testament to the shared history and enduring spirit of these twin cities.)
