What Is a Blockchain?
A blockchain is a distributed database that is shared among the nodes of a computer network. As a database, a blockchain stores information electronically in digital format. Blockchains are best known for their crucial role in cryptocurrency systems, such as Bitcoin, for maintaining a secure and decentralized record of transactions. The innovation with a blockchain is that it guarantees the fidelity and security of a record of data and generates trust without the need for a trusted third party.

One key difference between a typical database and a blockchain is how the data is structured. A blockchain collects information together in groups, known as blocks, that hold sets of information. Blocks have certain storage capacities and, when filled, are closed and linked to the previously filled block, forming a chain of data known as the blockchain. All new information that follows that freshly added block is compiled into a newly formed block that will then also be added to the chain once filled.

A database usually structures its data into tables, whereas a blockchain, like its name implies, structures its data into chunks (blocks) that are strung together. This data structure inherently makes an irreversible timeline of data when implemented in a decentralized nature. When a block is filled, it is set in stone and becomes a part of this timeline. Each block in the chain is given an exact time stamp when it is added to the chain.

जब भी आप किसी अनजान जगह पर जाते हैं तो अपनी location को track करने के लिए और अपनी मंजिल तक पहुंचने के लिए GPS का use जरूर करते होंगे। लेकिन क्या आपने कभी सोचा है की जीपीएस में ऐसा क्या होता है जो कुछ ही सेकंड में आप की लोकेशन को ट्रैक कर सकता है ? आखिर एक ऑब्जेक्ट की लोकेशन को ट्रैक करने के लिए यह पूरा जीपीएस सिस्टम किस तरह से काम करता है ?
जीपीएस का पूरा नाम global positioning system है। जिसे Navstar भी कहा जाता है । GPS ,एक satellite based radio nevigation system है । जिसे यूएस गवर्नमेंट के द्वारा military purpose के लिए 1973 में एक प्रोजेक्ट के रूप में लॉन्च किया गया था । 1995 में पहली बार जीपीएस को आम पब्लिक के लिए ओपन किया गया ,लेकिन उस वक्त इसकी accuracy अौर quality इतनी परफेक्ट नहीं थी। सन 2000 तक यूएस गवर्नमेंट ने GPS सर्विस को बेहतर बनाने के लिए अनेक प्रयास कीये ,जिसकी वजह से सन 2000 से GPS system पूरी दुनिया में ठीक तरह से काम करने लगा

The full name of the GPS is the global positioning system. Which is also called Navstar. GPS is a satellite based radio nevigation system. Which was launched in 1973 as a project for military purpose by the US government. For the first time in 1995 GPS was opened to the general public, but its accuracy and quality were not so perfect at the time. By 2000, the US government made several attempts to improve the GPS service, due to which the GPS system since 2000 started working in the whole world.
